Ellina (Elle) Hunds Awakened Ellina stepped onto the street, hurrying across it. The sun had set, blanketing the land in an eerily quiet darkness. The streets were still dotted with a few late night shoppers, which Ellina was thankful for. For some reason, when ever she needed to go to the shop, she always got nervous. Perhaps it was the fact that the shop was a bit more run down, and only open at night. But whenever she needed to go there, it was always for something important.
The past few months Ellina has spent trying to get her abilities under control. That meant a serious of meditations, tests, and many unique herbs and other interesting things that, blended together, were supposed to help balance an Awakened. Of course most awakeneds were trying to keep themselves and others secret, which was why the shop was only open at night. At right now, Ellina had to be there.
Something caused her to send a nervous look over her shoulder. That was when she spotted him. A man under a street light, staring her right in the eye, which was now laced with threads of purple, a dead give away of how different she was. Turning quickly, she hurried her way to the shop, thinking that he was following her the entire way. Quickly ducking into the shop, she gave a small wave to the girl at the counter, and began to browse when she heard the ding from the door opening. To afraid to look, she grabbed a book and pretended to read it.

It had been a long day, he had eaten twice, but now, with the sun set, the cravings were kicking in again. He didn't like to be in the city, at least in such a central hub, but people were scared, shook and near panic and were starting to group together instead of being lone wolves. He frowned at his thought. He didn't like the idea of people working together. It would make hunting harder. But still, it was early and a few still worked alone; this was the case with the woman with blonde hair. As soon as she crossed his line of vision, he knew she was the one he wanted to feast on tonight.
Nik's long hands smoothed down his sweater that was stiff with dry blood. The sweater's dark colour hid the stain well. He pushed himself off the dusty brick wall he had been leaning against and started to trail the blonde slowly through the streets. He moved quietly in bare feet, nearly silently, licking his lips in.... Anticipation.
After awhile of trailing, they came to a set of shops and he paused under a street light, there was less cover here and he had no choice. She turned suddenly, making eye contact with him. A slim, cold smile touched his lips. She was frightened, he could tell with the way she held herself, those shoulders, slightly raised but not high enough to hide the delicious curve of her neck. He felt his mouth grow wet with saliva at the thought of dinner tonight. "All the better to see you with m'dear." He muttered to himself as she stepped into the shop.
"Late last night and the night before..." He sing-songed quietly as he cut across the street to the shoppe. "Tommyknockers, Tommyknockers knocking on the door...." He pushed the door open and there was a faint tingle of a bell. He nodded to the clerk, and pushed back through the shelves.
He looked a little dark, but alive. he didn't look plagued. He had discovered that regular feeding on humans kept his appearance 'alive'. It didn't fix pre-existing problems, like his blind eye, but it had reversed the decomposition. He bent over slightly, trying to read the spine of the book in her hand.
"What cha readin?" He started causally enough, a light smile touching his big lips again. "Looks interesting...."
